Feeling Tickled Pink

I'm feeling like wearing a lot of soft pink colours! After looking at this site.

Some fancy things I would like to wear right now.

Oh, I just want to wear chiffon and go around in bare feet (even if I did just purchase huge crazy boots). Yes, I want spring. I'm all ready for it.

Tendencies. Sled From Porsche.

Porsche Sled

Corporation Porsche produced an interesting new product - high-speed sled.

The desing of the sled is minimal art. The sled can pick up maximal speed within minimal time like cars of the same trend do.

Working on the sled Porsche went by focus on the children's needs. However the sled can carry more than 100 kg. So not only children can use them but their parents as well. Besides the sled is collapsible and can easily go into your car'strunk. So train your children to quality things from little up.

Lisa Kudrow

It's All Work and No Play for Lisa Kudrow

After she became part of TV history along with her Friends co-stars, Lisa Kudrow kept her fans delighted by taking on a string of quirky characters on screens big and small.

Now, she's delivering the kind of off-the-wall performance she loves as a foster mom from hell in Hotel for Dogs. The irony is that, off-screen, she and her handsome hubby, French TV exec Michael Stern, are doting parents.

Q: You crossed a line by being mean to kids on screen. How did you dare?

A: Oh, my god. You mean what if I'm on the cover of the tabloids as the mean mom? I thought it would be fun to play a sort of villain in a family movie. So she doesn't like kids. That's OK. But here's the bad news. I took my son to a screening and, unfortunately, there were moments that felt familiar to him. Maybe that's not so good.

Q: Who's the disciplinarian, you or your husband?

A: I was a pushover until my husband taught me that I have to be more strict. But I don't know if strict is OK or not. I've been trying to be a little more structured and have rules and boundaries and I've gotten better at it. But I'd say my husband takes care of the discipline.

Q: When you speak about your husband, you beam.

A: He's phenomenal. Thank God for him. He's so centered and he keeps all the hype and fame stuff in total perspective. He knows that there's no danger of me falling in love with someone that I don't know, like a co-star in a movie. I mean, we've talked about that a lot and I don't get crushes that easily. Oh God, I wouldn't leave him for anything or anyone.

Q: How did you feel about sharing the set with a bunch of dogs?

A: I grew up with dogs and I have a toy poodle. But when you're filming everyone has to have their ducks in a row before the dogs come to set, otherwise it will be harder to get them to do what they need to do. But that's fine with me. You can't upstage a cute doggie.

Q: You get to be pretty outrageous in Hotel for Dogs. Is it fun to be sort of the Queen of Mean?

A: It is occasionally. But when I was with The Groundlings comedy troupe, the emphasis was almost always on the mean stuff. You had to look angry to make it funny. I didn't want to live my life like that just to get laughs. I realized that there were things that I thought were funny that weren't so mean spirited and I got a chance to show another side of myself on Friends.

Q: There are a lot of talented comedic actresses, including you, who don't get a chance to be funny as a leading lady on the big screen. Why is that?

A: I wish I knew. Male-driven comedies always outnumber female driven comedies. Then when there is one, everyone is like, 'Well, that was a shock. Who would've thought people would go to see women be funny in a movie?'

Q: Did you ever feel a challenge to go beyond your image as Phoebe on Friends?

A: It hasn't come up that much. I don't get people saying before they cast me, 'I need to see that you're not going to be Phoebe when you do this.' Actually, I'm always expecting it to happen. But I've gotten a lot of roles that are nothing like her. Maybe I'm just lucky.

Q: Blonde or brunette — which is more fun?

A: My hair was dark most of my life. When I became blonde, I definitely felt lighter, and I guess also because you're lighter, people treat you lightly. It just feeds into itself. I really lightened up. When I had dark hair I didn't smile as much. I was, you know, a depressive. But when my hair got lighter, everyday I was just in between smiles.

Chin up, walk tall

They're here!

They are mighty tall, and I walked around them for a while thinking that I should probably return them because they're so tall.

Except they're so awesome so I'm not going to return them.

Such as Giambattista Valli and Dolce & Gabbana that show fluffy fur patterns. Alena Akhmadullina and Alexander McQueen show beautiful 3-D feathers prints.

What can we say? It is really beautiful and extremelly up-to-date. Besides, The Green Peace must be enthusiastic about it!

Go Crazy

Ohhhh I did something totally insane and spent money on a pair of boots that look like this:

Yes. They will be here tomorrow. Wonderful Guess "Maeve" boots. Kind of gothic but I can't wait to wear it with my chiffon dress with tights and leg warmers, a black blazer, and some crazy coloured scarf.

So now for some outfits that I would gladly wear. Because we all have Lacroix, Moschino and Schouler lying around in our closets.

SO EXCITED. SO IN LOVE.

But not nearly as excited or as in love with the fact that Barack Obama is now our President!!

Pretty Passport Holder

When I was walking pass the travel accessories section at Saks last month, I scoffed at the idea. Why would I need a pretty passport holder when I only use it once every few months, and when I do, only very briefly when I go through customs. Most of the time, it is kept inside my bag anyway.

A day or so later, I learnt the error of my ways. 12 hours before my international flight, I realized that my passport was not where it should be. I was completely frazzled and lost. I immediately started ransacking my apartment looking for it and even called HG internationally for moral support in my panicked state (it was the middle of the night for her too!). I kept looking while she went online and checked out what one does in a situation like this (it was a saturday night so govt departments are not even opened the next day). Half an hour later, I finally found it neatly tucked away in a inconspicuous looking white envelope. I'd used my passport 6 months ago for something else and had forgotten to put it back in the pencil case looking travel bag where I put all my travel stuff in. Phew! Crisis avoided.
The next day on my ride to the airport, I retold my story to my friend and she said that this was why I should get a pretty passport holder, then I'd never have to put my passport in a white envelope. Plus, I should get an eye catching one, so I'll see it immediately. She had a point. Now i'm a convert to pretty passport holder. The question of course, is which one. I'm considering this bright red one from Saks. It is simple, elegant and vibrant. Plus, the size is just right, with little compartments for travel award cards etc (actually it might even be a great present for mom!).

How does everyone else keep their passport?

HAIRSTYLES FOR OVAL FACE SHAPES

Oval faces are the most many-sided faces. Many different styles will become you well, but no matter the length of your cut, you will look best with layers near your cheekbones, lips or chin - basically whatever feature you want to highlight. The perfect haircuts for oval face shapes are the cuts that show off the cheekbones and chin. The spike effect is downplayed, too much spike is NOT good on an oval face shape. It gives the illusion of length.

If you have wavy hair and an oval face, this long, wavy hairstyle is for you. It's not too long, which is bad for oval faces, but it's the perfect mix of wavy & long.

Celebrities that have OVAL FACE SHAPES

Actress Gwyneth Paltrow. Here, you see how hair that's just too long not only overwhelms an otherwise pretty face, but drags it down. While there are few hard and fast rules in beauty, we think few women can get away with hair this long. While dark roots were trendy for like five seconds last year, they never looked nice.

Jennifer Aniston.
An A-lister star all the way, Jennifer Aniston, also known as Brad Pitt’s ex-wife, is a blonde beauty who has the girl next door look and is equally at ease falling into the femme fatale mode, if a role demands it.

Cameron Diaz. Cameron lookes amazing promoting her movie, "In Her Shoes" with this simple yet stylish hairdo.

Sharon Stone.

The DVF Keva Dress

I always knew that Ms. von Furstenburg was a genius with the wrap dress, but I thought that my one printed blue DvF classic wrap dress would be enough to quench my thirst for DvF. Unfortunately, she has proven me wrong with the Keva dress.
I first caught a glimpse of it online window shopping on Shopbop. It had only just gone on sale and I thought, aww what a pretty dress. Then the other day, I saw it at a department store and I must say, it looks even better in person! Naturally I simply HAD to try it on, even though the only one on the rack was about 2 sizes too big. And it felt absolutely beautiful. It is made out of this wonderfully flowy chiffon material that moves with you as you swirl. Most of the time with these kind of dresses, the chest area would be too big for me. But from the looks of it, with the right size, it promises to fit well on me (or so I imagine). And best thing of all? With this print, this is the perfect dress for Spring. The color is dark enough that you can pair it with tights for colder weathers. But the material and design is just light enough that it will still be great for summer! The print is also not so recognizable that it will be over next season. How awesome is this dress?

Unfortunately for me, I analyze too long and now they are sold out on Shopbop (it was half price!). I've already checked the DvF website, Saks and Neiman Marcus. But alas, it looks like this dress is lost to me. I definitely need to keep my eye out for something similar in the next collection!

Oh and Happy 2009 everyone!

Dress Me

What inspires your sense of style? For me, right now it's things that drape well, a summery sort of flow, romantic things and I get inspired by photos that appear drenched in sunlight. I love photo spreads, I could spend hours upon hours staring at them and soaking in their beautiful glossy feel. This is just a hint of what has been inspiring me lately, what about you?

Kind of makes you want summer...

Fashionable MakeUp. Face and Hair Cosmetics of the Season 2009

EYE SHADOW

After getting a sneak peek at the circus carousel center stage at Chanel, the makeup line’s creative director Peter Philips was inspired to gild the models’ eyes. Plus, the lack of accessories in the collection made him want to turn their eyes into ornaments, as he said. Bringing the hue all the way up to the brow really enhances the eye.

Were seen at Baby Phat, BCBG Max Azria, Badgley Mischka, Versace and Chanel.

Apply several coats of golden shadow, leaving lashes bare. Mascara clumps would change the look, Philips said. It would suddenly become very disco.

Cosmetics: Kevyn Aucoin The Sculpting Powder, Chanel Ombre Essentielle in Gold, CoverGirl Eye Enhancers 3-Kit Shadow in Golden Sunset.

CHUNKY WAVES

Bumble and bumble stylist Laurent Philippon, who gave models at Preen gorgeous waves with stick-straight ends, wanted the hair to have a kind of rumpled sexiness—like late-’80s Kim Basinger in Batman and 9½ Weeks.

Were seen at: Ports 1961, Gucci, Preen, and Salvatore Ferragamo.

After coating wet hair with a heat-protecting spray, tousle strands with fingers while blow-drying, you need a bit of imperfection, Philippon said. Spritz hair with a medium-hold hairspray, then wrap small sections around a one-inch curling iron and rake through with fingers.

Cosmetics: Kérastase Vinyle Nutri-Sculpt, Bumble and bumble Bb Spray de Mode, TRESemmé Heat Tamer Spray.
